Dan Wesson firearms started in 1968, by the great grandson of one of the founders of Smith & Wesson. After working for Smith & Wesson, Dan Wesson decided to produce his own high quality firearms, from revolvers to 1911 pistols. Over the almost 50 year history Dan Wesson Arms has been bought and sold six times.
