Fixed Blade Knife.  A fixed blade knife is a knife in which the blade does not fold or slide. These knives are usually stronger due to the extension of the blade into the handle. The lack of movable parts creates a stiffer overall build.

Folding Blade Knife.  A folding blade knife is connected to the handle through a pivot point., which allows the blade to fold into the handle and be tucked away safely.  For an added safety feature the folding knives typically have a locking mechanism to prevent the holder from closing the knife on ones hand.

Tactical Knives.
Tactical knives can be both fixed and folding and are designed to be stronger and multi-use. These knives are strengthened to endure the toughest situations, and designed to tuck away in any tactical outfit.

Pocket Knives. Pocket knives are folding knives designed to be stored in your pocket.  Pocket knives usually come with multiple blades for different uses, all tucked away in a safe body.

Multi-Use Tools. Multi-use tools are designed to be multi functional. While each comes with different devises, they all usually have some of the same tools. Some of the tools may include serrated knife, straight knife, wire cutters, needle nose pliers, screwdrivers, corkscrew, can opener, file, ruler, keychain attachment, scissors, and many more useful tools.  Each tool tucks away safely in the metal body and some come with a carry pouch.
