LR-338L
With the LR-308’s growing popularity among hunters and competitive shooters, DPMS opened the LR Series up into several other popular calibers to increase versatility. The LR-338L was designed with one thing in mind... HUNTING. The main focus of the rifle is lightweight, fast handling, and single round precision. The 18” lightweight barrel with custom compensator, carbon fiber hand-guard, skeletonized stock, and lightweight upper receiver, allows this rifle to weigh in under 8 lbs.
The new .338 Federal is a cartridge that provides the energy of a 7mm Remington Mag in a necked-up .308 case. It’s the ultimate big game caliber with 200fps more velocity than a standard .308 round.
The LR-338L is the large game hunting rifle. |
LR-308T
Shortly after the LR-308 came onto the scene, law enforcement personnel quickly identified it as an outstanding precision rifle. But many saw more potential than a heavy long range rifle. The LR-308T was designed to be a tactical carbine that would be more maneuverable than a larger rifle, but more powerful and versatile than a lighter, smaller carbine or shotgun.
The LR-308T features a 16” heavy barrel for minimum weight and length, while still delivering 20 rounds of 308. The high ride receiver will accept a wide range of optics. That and many other available optics make the LR-308T a true tactical carbine. |

LR-308B
Not long after DPMS began producing the LR-308, customers began asking for a shorter, lighter version for which to take to the field after their favorite game. DPMS Answered with the LR-308B.
Sporting a shorter and lighter 18” bull barrel, carbine length free float tube and with the same optics friendly high ride receiver as the LR-308, the LR308B is capable of humane hunting shots out to 500 yards, while being more humane for the hunter that must carry it.

LR-308
In 2001, DPMS expanded from its share of the .223/5.56mm market, and exploded onto the .308 rifle scene. The LR-308, the first and foremost of the .308 line, and for which the rifle series is named, is a rifle to be reckoned with. So much so that it was named the NRA Rifle of the year in 2005. With a 24” stainless bull barrel, 1 in 10 twist, free floating handguard and a high ride receiver for easier mounting of optics, the LR-308 has gone toe to toe with bolt action rifles and delivered comparable accuracy, with higher magazine capacity and rate of fire. The conventional thought that "only a bolt action could be considered a precision rifle" has been in contention ever since. With numerous upgrades available, the LR-308 is the ultimate long range target and competition rifle. |
LR-308C
Everyone loves a classic. The LR-308 Classic was initially released as the LR-308 TAC 20, which featured a 20” heavy barrel, fixed front sight, A3 receiver with detachable carry handle, fixed A2 stock, and a four rail free float hand-guard. Shortly later it was re-designated the LR-308 Classic, replacing the four rail tube with conventional Military hand-guards. This rifle fills the gap between our heavier target 308's and our lighter, shorter ranged carbines, and takes the role of the battle rifle to new heights. |

LRT-SASS
The DPMS LR-308 Semi Auto Sniper System (SASS) was born of military necessity. US Military Snipers and marksmen overseas found themselves rapidly switching from scenarios involving precision long range shooting one moment, to close, violent encounters where they were at a disadvantage due to the low ammunition capacity and slow rate of fire of their bolt action rifles. The Government sought a solution to this problem…The DPMS SASS is the answer. With an 18” fluted bull barrel, free floating 4 rail hand-guards, and JP adjustable Trigger, it is capable of sub-MOA accuracy at long range, fulfilling its role as a precision rifle. The 19 + 1 ammunition capacity and semi auto fire control group ensure the shooter is never outgunned, and allows for faster follow up shots. The Magpul PRS stock (new for 2008, previous models feature a VLTOR modstock), Panther Flash hider, DPMS Mangonel back up iron sights, and A3 receiver, complete the package. |
