L-3 Communications EoTech
EoTech introduced its holographic sighting technology in 1996. In 2005, EoTech was acquired by L-3 Communications to become L-3 Communications EoTech. Since the acquisition L-3 Communications EoTech has become the sixth largest defense company in the United States and is a leader and prime defense contractor in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, secure communication, government serices, training and simulation and aircraft modernization and maintenance.
L-3 EoTech is the leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of electro-optics products and systems. Designed to be used in sport shooting and hunting applications the Holographic Weapon Sight quickly became reputable for increasing target accuracy and speed of target acquisition. Providing the user with a parallax free sighting device that is nearly indestructible, the Holographic Weapon Sight removes the complexities from targeting and aiming.
Later, in 2001, L-3 EoTech introduced its military and law enforcement HWS. Used by US Special Operations Command (SOCOM), FBI, DEA, State Department, US Border Patrol, Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), NYPD, LAPD, Texas State Police, and many international special operations forces, the Military and Law Enforcement HWS quickly became the leader in military Holographic Weapon Sights.
