FAL Pistols
 |
The Metric FAL, or Fusil Automatique Leger, and Inch L1A1 Rifles are the worlds most used 7.62 NATO rifles. At one time 90 different countries called the FAL their weapon of choice and today many still do. The FAL is one of the most rugged and easy battle rifles to maintain and operate. FN Herstal chambered the FAL in 7.62x51 NATO to attract American sales, by the 1950's it was adopted and accepted by the US, where it was marginally displaced in competition by the rifle now known as the M14. The FAL is found in two different patterns, the Metric FAL and Inch FAL. Across the world the FAL has many different names. |
