Civilian Rifle
HK USC .45 ACP Carbine
The USC is a civilian carbine that uses the classic hard-hitting .45 ACP cartridge. Matched with the simple and ultra-reliable blowback operating system, the HK USC is a radical departure from traditional firearm designs.
Extensive use of the same durable, reinforced polymers used on HK's new line of military and police arms ensures light weighht and durability. And the highest grade of weapons steel is used where it matters, in the cold hammer forged target barrela and the solidly constructed bolt mechanism.
User ergonomics are not sacrificed. The skeletonized buttstock is topped witha comfortable rubber cheek rest and recoil pad. The web of the pistol grip is open for a comfortable shooting handhold. Hard points located on the top and front of the receiver make attachment of optional picatinny rails easy, allowing almost any kind of sighting system or accessory to be mounted.

Law Enforcement Rifles & Carbines
HK 417
Like the HK416, the new 7.62x51mm NATO caliber HK417 Weapons System is currently under final development by Heckler & Koch as a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) alternative to existing, competing 7.62mm semi-automatic and select-fire rifles, carbines and sniper rifle systems. The .30 caliber "big brother" to combat proven 5.56mm HK416 family of rifles and carbines, the HK417 shares the operating control location and functions, disassembly and maintenance procedures and ergonomics of the HK416 and other AR-15-based weapons, to include the US M16 and M4 rifles/carbines. This fact insures immediate operator acceptance and transfer from one weapon to another and retains the already learned muscle memory critical to proficient target engagements under stressed fire.
|
The HK417 utilizes the unique operating rod gas system pioneered by HK in the HK416 and G36 weapons systems. This system uses a solid "pusher rod" operating rod in place of the more common hollow gas tube normally employed in AR15-style rifles. This system improves reliability and reduces operator cleaning and maintenance as literally no carbon fouling or propellant gases are directed back into the weapon beyond the gas cylinder located above the barrel. Thus the cleaning intervals and heat transfer to bolt components are drastically reduced, while the service life of all parts as well as the barrel, is increased dramatically. The design goal of the HK417 is to guarantee no parts failures or stoppages in less than 10,000-15,000 rounds with little or no accuracy degradation. The HK417 gas system also makes the weapon less sensitive to ammunition and barrel length changes, or when sound suppressors are employed. |
The HK417 will be available with 12, 16 and 20-inch barrels. To change length, the barrel is the only component needing to be changed and can be accomplished in under two minutes with simple tools. HK417 barrels are cold hammer forged with HK's famous proprietary process, are chrome-lined and utilize a conventional lands and grooves bore profile with 1/11 inch twist. All HK417 barrels are threaded for flash hiders, muzzle compensators and for sound suppressor attachment. A special M4-style multi-position retractable buttstock provides a comfortable sloping cheek piece, multiple battery storage compartments, and enhanced non-slip rubber recoil pad. Ambidextrous operating controls are standard on the HK417, to include the charging handle and an ambidextrous safety lever is also planned. Semiautomatic and fully-automatic modes of fire are available as a standard feature. A semiautomatic only option is also planned. All manner of existing accessories, to include sights, laser aimers, pistol grips, slings, etc. can be fitted to the common attachment points and/or MIL STD 1913 rail system found on the HK417.
Modular user installed mounting adapters allow the same grenade launcher to be used on existing and newly emerging weapon systems, like the US M16 or M4. The HK free- floating rail system is removed without special tools by the operator and insures 100% return to zero for all mounted accessories. The HK416/417/GLM COTS family of weapons is now complete with the introduction of "HK417". Note: The HK417 is only planned for military and federal law enforcement agency purchase at this time. No individual sales inquiries please.

HK 416
Inspired by the resounding success of the mid-life improvement program of the British SA80 (L85/L86) Weapons System, Heckler & Koch began a development program to create the HK416 Enhanced Carbine. Working with current users from around the globe, HK set out to produce an Enhanced Carbine that would outperform competing 5.56mm carbines and provide the high degree of performance required by the user community, particularly those within the special operations arena who demand more and expect no compromise when lives are at stake.
High-speed video assessment and extensive live-fire testing in extreme operational environments such as the U.S. Army Desert Proving Ground in Yuma, Arizona revealed multiple areas for improvement of the 5.56 mm carbine. Improvements were made to the internal operating system and miscellaneous component parts to improve reliability in best and worse case scenarios, with all types of ammunition, with all barrel lengths and with and without sound suppressors attached.
 |
An innovative free-floating 4-quadrant rail system designed by HK allows all current standard accessories and sights to be fitted to the HK416 and can be removed without tools. The HK-proprietary gas system does not introduce propellant gases and the associated carbon fouling back into the weapon’s interior. This reduces operator cleaning time, increases the reliability of the weapon and extends the interval between stoppages.
To improve reliability, service life, and operator safety during obstructed bore occurrences or after extreme extended firing sessions, HK has produced its famous cold hammer forged barrel for the HK416 in various lengths to include 10.4, 14.5, 16.5, and 20 inches.
|
The highest quality steel is used in this unique manufacturing process producing a barrel that provides superior accuracy for greater than 20,000 rounds with minimal degradation of accuracy and muzzle velocity.
In addition to the improvements in the baseline weapon, HK has produced a high reliability magazine and a proprietary buffer to improve functional reliability.
An add-on single shot 40 x 46mm AG416 enhanced grenade launcher module can be quickly attached to the rail system of all models without tools.
Heckler & Koch has applied its proven and fielded Safety Blank Firing Attachment and Live Round Excluder Magazine technology to the HK416 Carbine, eliminating the possibility of live rounds being loaded into and fired through a standard issue weapon outfitted for blank firing only.

HK G36 WEAPON SYSTEM
The new Assault Rifle G36 is a completely new modular weapon system in calibre 5.56 mm x 45 NATO. It is constructed almost entirely of a tough, glass fibre reinforced polymer material. The main weapon components consist of glass fibre reinforced polymer with stainless steel inserts. This has enabled weight to be kept very low without sacrificing strength, durability or robustness.
 |
Thanks to the self-regulating gas block, the gas-operated weapon works extremely reliably and only requires a minimum of maintenance.
After passing exhaustive tests with excellent results, it was adopted by and is now in use with the Federal German Armed Forces (including the NATO KRK Crisis Reaction Forces). Even during the use of practice ammunition, the G36 works absolutely reliably without using any muzzle attachments. Safety blank firing attachments for use with conventional blank ammunition are available as accessories. |
