I have only one thing I feel a responsibility to add to my review of earlier for the sake of anyone else who has one of these neat little weapons. I have down-graded to using only CCI Mini-Mag or CCI Blazer in this weapon. While it still performs well and I still get a kick outta using it with CCI Stingers the Instruction Booklet states in plain talk to NOT USE HIGH VELOCITY ROUNDS IN THIS WEAPON and I want to stand corrected on my ammo usage in the first review. Having said that, I find the CCI Mini-Mag or CCI Blazer to feed, fire, eject, perfectly well and without any problem at all. The CCI Blazer can be bought in a brick for around $19.00 where I live. In my humble opinion that is a pretty good price for splunk-in and plink-in and the round works in my weapon just fine! I hope it works for anyone else who tries it as well as each weapon usually has a favorite in the ammo department. With either one of these rounds I would not hesitate to carry it as a back-up weapon in my mororcycle boot or I might just week-end me a small holster rig for the outside of my right boot just under the blue jean bottom. Hope that works as good as it sounds. Like most real good week-end ideas put''in it to the test will soon tell me if it works or if I am going to feel like a fool come Monday morning!!!! Anyway, here is to ya guys and gals no matter what your weapon of choice might be!!

To start with this weapon is no mild mannered step child! It is a very attractive weapon and caught the eye of all at the range. Now for the hard core details. I started out with several different brands of ammo and ended up finding the CCI STINGER HYPERVELOCITY .22LR to be the one which worked as slick as WD-40 on glass. The STINGER is a hot little round, but using it this weapon performed as a well honed, worthy, CC Weapon has to for short as well as disiciplined longer distance hits to any aggressor. I found it capable of acceptable tight groups at several unexpected distances. It quickly won my favor and changed my opinion of this size weapon as a CC Weapon. Not one misfire, jam, or problem of any kind putting -50- rounds of STINGERS through this little fellow both rapid fire or otherwise. Having said that, it is still a small pocket size .22LR weapon. However, I find it to be a very worthy weapon and would not hesitate to use it as a backup weapon or even first line CC Weapon if needed as such. In a situation where one would need the protection of an accurate weapon, with respectable stopping power, this little guy would do the trick as most self protection situations are within the capability of this weapon to perform admirably. It is not a 9mm nor is it a 40 or 45 caliber, but it would be hard to beat in it''s class range. It is what it is, but it is also a well made, accurate, safe, weapon worthy of high consideration as a first time CC weapon for the inexperienced due to size, safety, and ease of use. At the very least it barks loud enough to put a scare in most agressors. It is, however, worthy of a much higher degree of praise than that. It immediately gained my respect and my fellow marksmen at the range in rapid order. For what it is, ya can''t go wrong as it is a very impressive little weapon and loads of fun to fire. In my humble opinion the Tarus PT-22 I purchased has earned a ]5 Star[ rating for sure. As for another, I can only assume they are all as worthy. One shooter''s review of a weapon is often totally opposite that of another, but I am betting on this little fellow to show itself as having a very high degree of consistancy across the board with each one produced.

This Taurus PT22 is pretty. Now most guys will not admit to liking a pretty gun, but the nickel, rosewood and gold make this gal look good. Sure it''s small and only a 22 calibre that''s good for close range. But that''s what I purchased it for-it''s not a huntin'' for bear gun. The trigger requires some effort to pull, but that''s to keep you from unintentional injury. She loads easily, fires smoothly and will hit the broad side of a barn. Purchasing from The Gun Source was simple, efficient and cost effective.
